Tampa Still Looking For Top Six Forward

from Erik Erlendsson of Bolts Report at the Tampa Tribune,

If the Lightning can convince Tanguay it would be in his best interest to try and build his resume back up by playing on a line with Lecavalier for a season (or two) it would be the icing on the cake of what has already been a successful summer.

It’s nothing definite at this point, as Tanguay’s agent said his client is in discussions with several teams, but it is definitely an intriguing thought for the team, the player and Lightning fans alike.

The Bolts could continue their trend of being Pittsburgh South by signing Sykora or Satan. Both are getting older, but both can still score goals.

Satan would help Tampa in that they need the depth on the roster but counting on him as a Top 6 guy would be a big mistake. Sykora would be a Plan B safety move if they can’t get Tanguay in the fold.

If Tampa did land Tanguay though… That’s a pretty sweet set up for the Lightning.
