Tampa Takes Bochenski

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed unrestricted free agent Brandon Bochenski to a two-year contract.

“Bradon is a proven player at the AHL level with more than 100 games of experience in the NHL,” vice president of hockey operations Brian Lawton said. “Adding him for the next two years continues to address our need to build organizational depth.”

Advisory notice from the NHL to all GMs: If you plan on having any forwards in your lineup in the next couple of years, sign them NOW. Tampa Bay appears poised to completely corner the market. Rumor has it even Jaromir Jagr will be commuting between Russia and the U.S. to play a few games for the Bolts this season.

In other news, it’s been discovered that someone recently released hallucinogens into the Tampa Bay water supply. Film at eleven.

Just another way of saying they’re taking a swing and would be happy with a fly ball to shallow left.
