Targeting Travis Moen

from Harvey Fialkov of the Sun Sentinel,

The last time the Panthers faced the Canadiens they were fighting mad after veteran forward Travis Moen repeatedly pummeled Florida’s top draft pick Erik Gudbranson while his hands were pinned against the boards by an official during a 6-2 preseason loss.

Gudbranson, 18, circled Saturday night’s regular-season rematch against the first-place Habs, however, he was sent back to juniors after his agent and the Panthers were unable to come to terms before the season opener.

“I’ve heard about that,’’ said Panthers enforcer Darcy Hordichuk, who was with the Canucks when the Moen-Gudbranson fight took place. “I’m sure that will change tomorrow. We’ll see how he likes it when somebody gets in his face. There wasn’t any need for that. That’s why I’m here to make sure stuff like that doesn’t happen.’‘
