via CKNW,
MOJO Sports Radio has learned the Vancouver Canucks have placed a call to Swedish defenseman Kenny Jonsson to see if he would or is able to play in North America.
The Philadelphia Flyers are also said to have contacted Jonsson regarding his services.
However, a Swedish reporter told MOJO that Johnson can not come over this season because he is under contract in the Swedish Elite League.
It hs been my understanding that Jonsson could not play this year according to the CBA and the he was still property of the Islanders. But with the lack of CBA information available, who knows!!!
