from the New York Times,
The National Hockey League trading deadline was made two weeks earlier last season, and team executives, no strangers to telephones, were not bashful about swinging deals. They completed a league-record 25 trades on an entertaining deadline day.
Lou Lamoriello, the president and general manager of the Devils, does not like to make predictions, but he said last night that the moments before this year’s deadline, at 3 p.m. Eastern today, could feature as many transactions as last season, if not more.
“Every indication is that there will be substantial movement at the last minute,” Lamoriello said in a telephone interview.
Get ready folks- Have you taken the day off from work or school to catch the action or will you be watching the NHL Network via streaming on NHL.com?
At times the updates on KK may be coming in fast and furious. They also may come in a little “raw”, with details soon to follow.
So grab your coffee, sit back, relax and enjoy the day.
