...That said, there is word few people on this team is real happy with how things are going and there has been word of a possible revolt. I’m not kidding about this.
My take: If JM is shopping Olli, not good. He’s the captain and face of this franchise—for better or worse. If this is true, JM needs to come out and say so. I haven’t had a chance to talk to him about it really, but I will in the near future. Probably tonight. Word of Olli being shopped has leaked to the players and it is not, NOT, sitting well in the room.
I don’t think it’s happening....

Spoke to JM, Olli and Alan Cohen. They say absolutely no truth to the rumors that Olli has been shopped.

Ever notice that these Jokinen trade rumours tend to originate out of Canada by reporters who don’t regularly cover the Panthers? Ever notice how they’re always wrong?
Until we start hearing these rumours being generated by the Miami media, don’t believe a word of these Olli Jokinen trade rumours. He doesn’t want out of Florida (he and his family are happily settled there), the Panthers management don’t want to move him, and team owner Alan Cohen won’t allow a trade to happen, especially after he stupidly allowed Mad Mike Keenan to make one of the worst trades in NHL history by dealing away Roberto Luongo.
