The Latest On Arnott

from Tom Gulitti of Fire & Ice,

Although he would prefer to keep him for a potential miracle run at the playoffs, Devils genereal manager Lou Lamoriello will field offers today for center Jason Arnott and at least consider trading him before today’s 3 p.m. league deadline….

There are multiple reports that Dallas’ Brad Richards will only waive his no-movement clause to go to the Rangers, where he would be reunited with head coach John Tortorella. That could eventually cause a team like the Los Angeles Kings, who want a center, to turn in the direction of the Arnott and the Devils.

I’m also told that the Capitals are interested in Arnott. Indications are that Pittsburgh, at this moment at least, doesn’t have interest in Arnott. Montreal scouted the Devils thoroughly back in January and earlier in February and was said to have interest in Arnott.

How about Arnott returning to the Preds today?  That’d be a hoot.
