SPORTING NEWS: yesterday reported it’ll be interesting to see how LA Kings forward Alex Frolov responds to being benched for his recent poor play. The report also noted this is how trade rumors get started, noting a report out of Edmonton claiming the Oilers might be interested in Frolov.
SPECTOR’S NOTE: Frolov is an unrestricted free agent next summer and there’s considerable speculation the Kings could shop him later in the season. For now however I don’t expect they’ll make such a drastic move, hoping Frolov will snap out of his malaise.

Frolov isn’t fast enough to work on the Oilers. He’s always been over-rated and I don’t think they’d actually trade talent to get him. Maybe comrie or horcoff. The oilers would get the better part of THAT deal.
