from Stan Fischler of MSG Network,
-Toronto’s resurgence should guarantee Pat Quinn’s return behind the bench. If we were making the choice, John Ferguson will be back as well; Toronto media vultures notwithstanding.
-Andy Murray may be history in Tinseltown, but the deposed Kings coach looms as candidate for any one of the three teams – the Islanders being one – depending on the next g.m
-Jim Devellano justified naming Steve Yzerman Red Wings’ captain at age 40 on the grounds that Stevie Y was the best player on the team. The “C” sure didn’t hurt SY nor the Wings. With that it mind, the Penguins should get it over with and give the captaincy to its best player, Sid (Der Bingle) Crosby.
I think Stan might be a bit confused about captain Yzerman.
