A marketing firm representing Versus emailed many of the hockey bloggers recently asking them to display an “exclusive” video on Sid.
KK displayed that “exclusive” video last week, which can be seen here, so I wonder how exclusive it really is.

Yes, the word exclusive is a stretch FC. Heck, by all means spreading the word is fine but I did stop when they asked me to display a banner ad about the game tonight.

We were “picked” to receive the “exclusive” content as well. Immediately, we were skeptical about it, especially since were are a Washington Capitals focused blog. We posted the video, but did not use the banner. We also didn’t use the name of the program or the player.
Will they have a “special” like this again? And if they do, will it be someone other than Malkin or Fleury (since they could make that really about their darling again).

Is it too early to be sick of hearing about one golden boy to the exclusion of all other players in the league?
Because I am already tired to death of hearing about Crosby.

It’s a PR company guys; their only interest is in seeing this stuff get out to as many places as possible.

It would be interesting to find out how many sites fell into the category of “selected few” to run this. I didn’t have a problem posting it, but you’re right in that their use of the word “exclusive” was a tad loose.
