from Ben Kuzma of the White Towel,
When Daniel Sedin failed to practise Monday, general manager Mike Gillis stressed that the Vancouver Canucks left winger hasn’t re-injured his left foot. He also defended the process that led to the Swede pushing his rehab on Nov. 8 in Dallas to the extent that he won’t skate with the team again until Wednesday and possibly play Friday….
“It’s not a re-injury, it’s soreness,” added Gillis, who said a re-evaluation of Sedin back in Vancouver confirmed there was no further foot damage. “You have to see him skate with the team. Skating on your own is something entirely different. No player will play here unless he can go out and play and compete in a practice and stay up with the rest of the group. If he’s not ready to do that, he’s not playing in a game.”
