Shawn Windsor at the Detroit Free Press:
It is 84 degrees outside at the moment. And muggy.
In my living room, it is a tidy 66. I acknowledge this off the top, to admit that in no way am I pretending to bring you the actual experience from Woodward today, standing in the sun, watching the Wings and the floats sail past, soaking up the parade to celebrate Detroit’s 11th Stanley Cup.
However, I’ve covered a few parades in my day. And I’ve covered a few championships. I was at Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh until early in the morning Thursday covering the celebration. But enough about all that.
Today, I am blogging about the parade while watching it on television.
Also, commentary and a few photos from A2Y readers can be found here
