from John Kreiser of NHL.com,
It’s been roughly three weeks since the free-agency market opened, which saw the likes of Marian Hossa and Marian Gaborik sign blockbuster deals with new teams. But with training camp still several weeks away, dozens of quality players remain without an address.
Here’s an updated look at 40 of the top unrestricted free agents still on the market (players unsigned through July 20):
Robert Lang- Lang turns 39 in December and is coming off an Achilles tendon injury, potentially limiting the size and length of his contract. But before he got hurt, he showed he still had something left in the tank.
Alex Tanguay- Like Lang, Tanguay is coming off an injury-ruined season. His point production has dropped from 81 to 58 to 41 in the past three seasons. He may have to take a shorter-term deal to rebuild his value.
