This is steal for flyers...tihs was a panic trade made by thrashers

Zhitnik is a good guy, hard shot, hard worker. He does have a tendency to take bad penalties…
If Coburn lives up to the hype, Flyers won this one big time.

IMHO, Waddell panicked. It’s been stated for weeks that he needed a second line center. Coburn and a mid-round pick might’ve landed that for him. Zhitnik’s decent but he’s not gonna reverse their fortunes. He’s not a game-breaker, and he’ll eat up considerable cap space ($2.135 million per season) for the next two seasons.
Not a wise move.

This deal could have been made at 2:59pm on Tuesday, why now?
Posted by Paul from Motown Area on 02/24/07 at 10:14 PM ET
flyers are screwing up the market for players to be move before tuesday at 3pm. they made deals that involve top level 1 and 1a prospects.
Flyers are activly moving sanderson, calder and york. Hatcher is 50/50 to be move in situation inwhich flyers will take a certain percentage of the contract
on funny side note,
eklund thought keith Tkachuk was going to thrashers and now “rebrands” Tkachuk going to nashville for hartnell

Any chance he’ll play immediately as Baumgartner was claimed by the Stars?
