from Ben Wright of Blueland Blog,
So now we get to see how he reacts to playing the Thrashers. It would be tougher for him if he was playing in Atlanta, so maybe this won’t be a big deal given that the game is in Detroit. Maybe it will. And maybe it’ll be a big deal to some of his former teammates. Last year the Thrashers went into Detroit and won 5-1 on the strength of a Hossa hat trick. Wouldn’t you love to see Ilya Kovalchuk torch the defending Cup champions for a hat trick of his own? And will former Red Wings Jason Williams, Mathieu Schneider and Slava Kozlov pull out the stops in a building where they all had so much success?

Kukla’s Korner is always a free service for readers, but it costs some money to maintain. If you’re ever in a position to donate a few dollars to help out, we’d be very appreciative.

I’d say the odds are far more likely that the reverse will happen. Hoss and Pavel are starting to “feel” one another (in a good way, if you know what I mean). Tomorrow’s game may well be the one where it all comes together for Marian.
Well, I guess it’s possible that they and Kovi have been saving all of their energy for tomorrow’s game. The Thrashers better hope so. Because in six games, Williams, Schneids, Slava and Kovi have combined for a whopping 11 points and are a combined -3. On the other hand, Hoss, Pavel and Homer have put up 19 points and are a combined +7.
If anyone is motivated to turn it up a notch tomorrow night it’s Hoss. And, personally, I can’t wait for the puck to drop...especially since I hear Joe the Plumber will be there to do the honors.
