Toews Out Until After The ASG

from Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune,
The Chicago Blackhawks will be without the services of their captain for at least one game as Jonathan Toews will not play Tuesday night against the Nashville Predators with a suspected left arm injury.
Toews left during the second period of the Hawks’ 5-2 loss to the Predators on Sunday night and did not practice with teammates Monday. Toews was slashed across the left wrist by the Florida Panthers’ Erik Gudbranson during Friday night’s game but did finish that contest.
“Toews is going to be out for (Tuesday’s) game,” Hawks coach Joel Quenneville said following Monday’s practice. “It’s not serious but he’s out.”
Quenneville said it’s “not likely” Toews will participate in the NHL All-Star Game festivities this weekend in Ottawa. Toews was selected to play in Sunday’s game along with teammates Patrick Kane and Marian Hossa.

I thought they said it was fine as long as the player also misses his team’s last game prior to the ASG?

A lie since Datsyuk did miss the last game and still got suspended.
Anyways, we all knows Toews won’t be suspended. There never was anything at work there except a chance for the league to take a shot at the Wings.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman imposed the policy, established at last year’s general managers meetings, to legitimize injury claims and improve All-Star Weekend attendance. The policy states All-Stars who are injured must have missed at least the last game before the All-Star break in order to be excused; otherwise, they must sit out the first regular-season game after the break.
And Gary.Ass imposed that “policy” without then-NHLPAED Paul Kelly’s input.
The Cawks play one game Tuesday night and then they’re off until Jan. 31st. Reiterates Primis’ point exactly.

Sorry, you’re 100% incorrect. Detroit’s last game before the All-Star break was Jan 20, which he played in, and the first game back, which he missed because of the suspension-non-suspension was the 27th. The first game Datsyuk missed that season was the game after the All-Star break.
In fact, after digging through game-by-game longs on nhl.com I realized that I had to do was look at Datsyuk’s yearsl stats to see that he played 81 gaems that season. The only one he missed was the first game after the All-Star break.
I know that you’re a jackass who sees anti-Wings conspiracies wherever he looks, but how about not making shit up in order to prove a non-existent point?
