Too Many Ifs

from Stan Fischler at Game On,
It’s time to play the IF game.
If, as The Maven asserts, Sean Avery is the most valuable member of the Rangers, how good are the Blueshirts without him?
If, as The Post’s Larry Brooks declares, Avery may be sidelined for substantial time because of his latest (left) hand injury, what can be done to compensate for his absence?
And, if—as it appears apparent throughout the NHL—Avery truly is an inimitable personality, how can he be replaced?

I’ll admit I was slow to jump on the bandwagon, but now I see the light - Avery for MVP.
Hit your head on the bandwagon when you boarded, I see.

If MVP means Most Vocal Player, Avery is definitely in the running.

It does seem absurd. Unfortunately, it seems the Rangers themselves have bought into this crap, and they can’t win a damn game without him.
