John Grigg of The Hockey News lists his Top 10 lines…
1. Johan Franzen – Pavel Datsyuk – Tomas Holmstrom, Detroit Red Wings
The choice in Hockeytown was even tougher than the one in Philly. But Datsyuk is the premier defensive forward in the league and has a 24-point lead in the Red Wing scoring race. Plus the line owns a cumulative plus-63 rating and has scored 29 power play goals and 11 game winners.

On with the quibbling…
The Franzen-Datsyuk-Holmstrom line was only together as a unit for a couple of games. Homer just came back in the lineup, and now he’s out again. IIRC, Franzen was also out for several games, some of which overlapped with those missed by Holmstrom. Most of Datsyuk’s points—and the cumulative totals for the trio—were achieved with other line combos. (Although prior to his injury, Homer was consistently on the same line as Datsyuk, albeit first with Hossa, then with Zetterberg. I would guess that similar line juggling has gone on with the other teams as well, due both to injuries and coaches’ efforts to find the right matchups over the course of the season. Maybe it’s just not realistic to try and declare “top lines” in this era.
