from Erik Erlendsson of Bolts Report,
Here is my top 10 cities on the NHL circuit. The criteria doesn’t have anything to do with hockey, it’s more about the city and what it has to offer, whether its nightlife, scenery or otherwise. At the end, I’ll add a group of places I’m not so crazy about:
10 Toronto - The hockey mecca of the world (self-proclaimed) offers some great sightseeing options, with the CN Tower and the Rogers Centre (formally SkyDome) when the Blue Jays are in town. But the highlight has to be the Hockey Hall of Fame, which is a must-see for any hockey fan

Hey, Nashville gets some props. No redneck mentions. No moonshine. We are moving up. Anyone who comes to a game here has the same opinion.

He loves the nightlife? He wants to boogie, on the disco round?
Kay...Some of his rationalizations as to why cities aren’t on the list are just strange, and I can’t imagine that he’s seen a lot of the West over the past few seasons.

So he doesn’t care about hockey, but is picking cities where he’d go for vacation on a long weekend.
Whatever.

Yeah it is an odd thing to have from a sports writer. Its basically cities that he likes, and oh yeah, they happen to have a team as well.

Wow i’ve been to all of the top ten except Calgary and Vancouver, and all the bottom cities except Edmonton, and i disagree with most of what he says haha. Philadelphia and NY are dirty and nasty, i hate those two cities. Not to mention there are a couple million people in each of them, i hate really cramped cities. As far as Canadian cities i’ve been to, i love toronto but not a big fan of Ottawa or Montreal. Boston and Chicago are probably my two favorite cites, besides Pittsburgh of course. Don’t knock it unless you’ve been here, its beautiful.
He was spot on with one thing though, Detroit blows. hahaha jk, don’t kill me on the comments lol.
