from Yvon Pedneault at Sun Media,
Ovechkin makes the top of our list because he had an incredible season last year. He managed some truly exceptional goals, the kind of goals that made the difference in some especially close wins for his team.
1. Alexander Ovechkin, Washington
An exceptional talent, a born scorer, a player who brings intensity to every game.
2. Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh
He’s maintained an average of 1.56 goals per game since his start in the NHL.
3. Henrik Zetterberg, Detroit
He can do anything on ice.

I believe he means an average of 1.56 points-per-game, as opposed to goals, for Crosby.

So if “No goaltender has matched this Russian’s performance.”
Then why is Nabokov 17 and Luongo 9th?
And Brodeur 28th…The 4th goalie on the list? Didn’t he win the Vezina last year?
And I love how in Lecavalier’s comments he has “Franchise player”, you know, as if the the other top 50 aren’t also mostly franchise players.
And yeah, I sure wish Sid averaged 1.56 goals per game….

This guy really doesn’t know his as*hole from his elbow, besides the number of typos, how does he say a goalie who put up some of his best numbers a step down in Martin Brodeur. And how he is not only not ranked in the top 10 but 4th goalie listed is beyond me. I think he proved being the leagues best by winning the vezina 3 out of the past 4 years.
