Players across the NHL are packing their bags and heading for training camps.

TOP 5 ON THE RISE
1. Chicago: GM Dale Tallon was aggressive in the off-season. Not only did he sign Campbell, but he also picked up G Cristobal Huet in free agency. There’s a lot of talk G Nikolai Khabibulin is either going to be dealt or waived before the season begins.

Bruce is being generous to the hometowm boys, because I see Colorado as being much better than Ottawa.
Ottawa is mediocre and could well miss the playoffs this year :( Which would be a blessing in disguise since we could dump Murray and Spezza, sign Alfie to a long-term deal worth his time, and get youth in there.

I’m a Canucks fan. Yes, I’ll admit it. Hard as that is. I KNOW they will not do very well this year. That is a given.
But…. with the Sedins (wince) and Luongo, even I know they won’t be 29th overall in the league!
