I can’t watch the video for context.

Did he bring media along because he’s Brian Burke? Is it an awareness thing with the Army? Why the hell does TSN have a story on that? At least when they told us he was on vacation it was so they could say “No news out of Toronto this week.”

Somewhere Don Cherry is climaxing.

There certainly seems to be a concerted effort in recent years to bring the NHL and Canadian military together on the major media networks in the great white north; TSN and CBC rarely go through a game broadcast without bringing up the military in some context.

It tends to be tasteful except in situations like this.

Leo Racicot, Don Cherry is at the head of those efforts for sure. He’s been crying weekly on Coach’s Corner since I think the first Canadian died in the war. He does good work.

Oh yeah, I catch those as well.  Don tends to talk with more logic and passion about the military than the game of hockey these days.  Perhaps Burkie falls into the same camp?  Oh, to be a Leafs fan.

Nice to know Burke has other stuff to do while his team continues to be an abysmal mess.
