Wow, that’s a great collection.. I like when they mix up goals saves and hits in the same countdown.. TSN did a nice job on this one!
Some eye-candy right there. Thanks for posting it.

Lots of love for the chosen favorite sons of the NHL. Was Malkin’s no angle goal really better than Filpulla’s no angle goal? No, except for the fact that it was Malkin and not some dude from Finland.
Well, of course on the first part. But I’m going to disagree on the Filppula goal. On Fil’s goal, the goalie was already down and he was putting in a rebound. Malkin created that goal out of nothing. Got to give credit where credit is due.

Fair enough. It was certainly a great goal. I suppose the Filpulla goal blazes brighter in my mind because of the complete mess that that play was and because there isn’t a single positive Wings play. You would assume they were knocked out in the first round except for the fact that the save on Franzen and tic-tac-toe goal on Ozzy are against different teams.
Venting more than usual from a crappy day at work. They’re all great plays; there’s no arguing with that.

Wasn’t impressed with the hit at number 10, really. Was Helm’s breakaway during the playoffs (everything kind of runs together in one long puck-infested blur)? I’d have tossed that in there just because the speed he showed was so remarkable.
I might have put the Varlamov save over Ovechkin’s goal, just because Ovechkin playing like that is somewhat expected, but Varlamov playing like that came out of nowhere and I’d rank it higher for that reason.
Nice assortment, though.
