It took me like 3 urls to find this from Hockey Buzz.  Why does Eklund block Kukla’s Korner?

Any who, thanks for the video.

I got the feeling that if Brooks took on Tortarella ,Tortarella would kick the shit kicked out of him.

...beat up at the Bus Stop. LOL

Marco, you’d have to ask Dwayne about that.  Maybe he doesn’t want you folks to know the truth about him

Haha this is pretty funny. I always thought the Brooks was a douche nozzle, but this is the first time I really paid attention to what he looks like, and he looks the part of a douche nozzle. If Carcillo was really lookin to get after Gaborik, watch out. The next time these to teams play I can see shit hitting the fan.

Tortorella should have sprayed Brooks with a water bottle.

brooks is a piece of turd.  His journalistic talent is about the equivalent of Eklund during his first special insider during the trade deadline on sportsnet.

I have no use for Brooks.  For years he’s dropped all sorts of lefty political cracks in his columns, which is out of line.  But Tortorella is in the wrong.  As a coach of a team in NYC you can’t freeze out one writer from a major daily whether you like him or not.  It’s bush league.  And it’s also a losing proposition.  The newspaper will always write your obit in the end.  And Tortsie’s clown act is also wearing as thin as Brooks.

just for context - the “sarcastic” comment that torts is so pissed about was brooks referring to redden as “wade ‘golden gloves’ redden” in a column after redden fought benoit pouliot the other night.

i don’t really care for torts; however, I love that he called him out.  I wish more coaches would do that for their players after some of the articles that are written.  It really is about honor as torts was saying… both in the goons fighting the star players as well as the journalism.  Brooks has none.

I actually respect the fact that Brooks will call someone out and then not hide under his rock when challenged.  I don’t often agree with him, but he sticks by his opinion and won’t be bullied or muzzled by the MSG cheerleading squad. Funny to me that he was not intimidated by Brooks and asked if he was challenging him to a fight.

Knowing how biased MSG coverage is (to the scandlaous extent of banning reporters a few years back) it is actually refreshing that someone as recognized as Brooks is willing to stir the pot. He can do it because he has a platform to always get the last word. He make not make for great journalism, but the friction between he and Torts is certainly entertaining.

Carcillo actually said that he couldn’t believe that Gaborik dropped his gloves, but once he did, he was licking his chops because he knew there was no one else on that line that was going to be able to help Gaborik.

In other words, here’s the Ranger’s #1 skill guy with a girl’s first name, he wants to fight me and Brashear’s not in the line-up.  What do I do?  Upside:  (A) I kick his ass; (b) I take their # 1 guy off the ice for 5 minutes.  Any Downside? I may have to fight Avery, but Brashear’s not in the line-up.  Commence ass-kicking!

No brainer, just like Gaborik’s decision to drop the gloves, his teammates failure to help him and his coach.
