For those of you who are curious to keep track of how the signings are affecting salary cap space on your favorite teams, check out NHLnumbers.com—a handy resource that tracks the salary commitments over the long term.
Be aware though: when clicking through to the team pages I’ve been having some connection problems at times. Understandably, the site is likely getting a lot of extra traffic yesterday and today.
*For reference, here’s ESPN’s list of players already signed (and their salaries) thus far. And here are the players still waiting for a new home.
Update: via Twitter, John also suggested another option for salary cap crunching we can play with—CapGeek.com.

Alanah, I would recommend http://www.nhlscap.com over http://www.nhlnumbers.com. Irish Blues of HFBoards is the owner of that site and while it’s affiliated with hockeybuzz.com it has much, much more accurate information.
