DOWN WITH GARY’S NETWORK!
I mean…who really watches OLN anyway?

I bought the half-season package, and I must say it’s fantastic. I can’t get HD broadcasts with the Center Ice package on Charter cable, and the GameCenter broadcasts (provided you have the right hardware and a fast enough Intarwebs connection) are really close to high-definition. My fiance and I recently canceled our cable and are watching most of our TV online by hooking our laptops up to the TV. Other than the broadcasts being a little jerky from time to time, GameCenter has answered a MAJOR question I had about cutting the cable—WHAT ABOUT WINGS GAMES??? The DVR-style controls also help since we got rid of our DVR as well.
The unfortunate thing is that Versus, NHL Network, and NBC broadcasts are blacked out for 48 hours on GameCenter, so anyone wishing to test GC on the Wings game tonight will be S.O.L. Still, it’s worth checking out the other games tonight in case anyone is considering it. I HIGHLY recommend it.

It’s one of the few things the NHL has gotten right lately, I might add.

Paul, maybe you can get word to the NHL, or maybe I’ll get lucky and one of the eggheads over there will read this.
Gamecenter is a fantastic thing. I’ve used the free trials, and it works pretty nice. The option of the home/away feeds is a nice touch too. But just one problem. I don’t want to pay to see every single game.
This is the internet, not cable TV. Give me the option to purchase single team packages. I’ll spend $30 for a season of Wings games. I don’t care to spend $120 for 2000 games I’m not going to watch.

What’s funny is that every game except for maybe one that I’ve watched since purchasing GC has been a Red Wings feed. Guess I’m just getting lucky.
