What matters to us is just how big a splash our locals will make. Or, to put it another way: will Glen Sather match his 2007 spree that landed Scott Gomez and Chris Drury in an astonishing one-day Double Dip?
D-Day is Tuesday and between now and then you’ll hear rumors galore of which about one-tenth of one percent will be on target.
No question, Sather, Lou Lamoriello and Garth Snow are entranced by Brian Campbell, but his asking price is likely too ridiculous for any of the trio.
One fascinating subject has to be lifetime Devil, Jay Pandolfo. Lou apparently is trying to lure JP back to Newark but one of Jay’s best buddies happens to be Scott Gomez
