Underrated Goals By The Wings

from The Triple Deke,
Igor Larionov and the Statue of Liberty can sit this one out. These are the most underrated Wings goals of the 2000s—or in other words, five goals that I have somehow arrogantly determined you aren’t remembering enough. That’s what “most underrated” is, right?
My choice is Dan Cleary, game 7, WCF 2009 Semi, not WCF…

terrific summary. I was at the Joe for Cleary’s goal, and as many times as I have been there the last three minutes of game 7 was the loudest, non-stop screaming I have ever heard. I watched it the next day at least ten times. Hull’s goal was magnificent, thanks for the memories.

Hey thanks for the shout out, Paul.
I couldn’t tell where the Cleary goal fit between all of the others, maybe not enough time has passed for me. That was a huge goal and we should all thank Dan for not allowing that game to go to OT. I mean what could be worse than a Game 7 going to overt…. oh. Right.

That was my favorite goal of the entire playoffs, for sure.

I think you mean the second round, not the WCF.

I think you are correct Earl, but it did feal like the WCF!
Tough series.

I think Paul’s subconscious was referring to a mythical goal that was scored in quintuple overtime in a made-up Game 7 from the 2007 West Finals. I’ve had this dream too.
