From the Canadian Press:
A former NHL enforcer is expected to find out Friday whether he’ll be jailed in connection with a brawl outside a southern Ontario hotel in 2006 that resulted in him being Tasered three times and pepper sprayed.
Ryan VandenBussche faces three charges of assaulting police and one charge of uttering a death threat.
His lawyer claimed he could not be held responsible for his actions because of a head injury that legally rendered him a “non-insane automaton.”
The verdict will be made public shortly and we’ll add it to this post.
Update 2:34pm ET: The charges against VandenBussche have been dismissed.
Below is a video compilation of some of VandenBussche’s work.

Good thing they showed Vandenbussche beating Kyprios, because I wasn’t sure he could beat anyone. Ryan should get an award from the Red Cross for donating so much blood.

I was at that game when he pummled Kyprios, I can honestly say I have never ever saw so much blood on the Ice when that happened. They were just using the squeegee to clean it up and the blood was just everywhere. It was a crazy night and something I will never forget. I felt bad for Kyprios, that was insane.

besides the tussle where Vandenbussche turned Kris King into JFK, I will never forget a Rangers’ game I attended where he fought Brendan Witt not once, not twice, but three times.
