via Puck The Media,
From VERSUS’ NHL Twitter Feed:
Versus coverage starts at 5:00PMET w/ ANA at DET! Go to versus.com/nhl & scroll to the bottom to find your VS channel!
The only problem is the game is not on Versus. The game is on regional networks in the US, plus the NHL Network, TSN and RDS.

Another in a long line of Versus hate articles, so agitators like Red Winger can spew his bile against the network and Gary Bettman!

I still find it unbelievable that people think that Gary and the league didnt take the best TV offer in front of them. If anyone believes that ESPN would be promoting the NHL over NBA with both having simultaneous playoffs, then please state your case. Id love to see your thoughts.
Now on this particular instance, the VS twitter feeder is an idiot.

No other network wanted to pay as much as Versus, which imo is doing a good job. Much better than ESPN.

How come everyone expects someone else to promote the league and game? Why, and since when, is it someone else’s job?
Why don’t we just hold the NHL themselves accountable if you’re not happy? It starts and ends there..

The NHL Network US is essentially a Versus affiliate. It exists because Comcast/Versus promised to make it available as part of the same TV deal. It’s not all that different than ESPN promoting something on ESPNU. If you want to really nitpick, it wouldn’t have been “Versus coverage” even if it had been on Versus, right?

Versus has now deleted the Twitter post of this.
No explanation what happened, just deleted it.
