Ruslan Fedotenko was the recipient of the hit.

You can be the judge, multiple angles of the hit in the video.

1st camera angle…That’s despicable! Suspend Moore! Poor Fedetenko! I hope this doesn’t end his career!

2nd camera angle….Er, never mind…give Fedetenko 2 for diving

I’ve taken sucker punches worse than that and I didn’t lie there motionless on the ground.  He was moving initially so you know he wasn’t knocked out.

Looks like weak sauce to me.  Feds lookin’ SOFT.  Contact looked incidental, vying for territory onthe ice… how could Moore have known Feds would crumple after minimal contact?

Every replay from behind looks like an obvious pick to the head while the two times they showed the angle from behind the net, it doesn’t look like he makes contact with Fedotenko’s head at all.

I’m leaning towards the “he took a dive” crowd here.

Hey, he bit his tongue. Hard.

But more seriously, isn’t whiplash as much a problem and concussion causing (or what’s the new term? soft tissue neck/spinal damage) from these head hits as direct contact?

Fedotenko did not practice yesterday, and didn’t travel with the team for today’s match against Flyers.  Yep, he’s definitely milking the “dive”.
