Video- Brown Hit On Jovanovski - Head Shot Or Not

from Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic,
“You never want to see one of your players take a hit to the head, but I thought it was great for us,” said coach Dave Tippett, whose squad stormed out for the third period and scored four goals. “It revved us up in the game. We got people engaged in the game then instead of sleepwalking through it.”
No penalty was called for Brown’s hit on Jovanovski, and it’s debatable whether the NHL will assess punishment after examining it. Jovanovski was playing the puck when Brown came in with a blindside shoulder check that connected with Jovanovski’s head.
Jovanovski also suffered a lower-body injury on the play, according to the Coyotes. He will be evaluated tomorrow, but Tippett believes Jovanovski will be fine.

Blindside, headshot. Fits all the criteria perfectly.
Simple call to make.
So expect the NHL to screw it up.

Even if Jovanovski delivers some questionable hits from time to time…this is just a wee bit too obvious, Brown.

No doubt that’s a hit to the head.
I wonder what the Wheel of Suspension will say?

No concussion, no broken jaw?
I’d be surprised if he got two.

Textbook example… and Brown has a history. Could easily be 5 games.

Textbook rule 48.
However, since the victim’s not drinking his food through a straw, I’m not sure Campbell will care about this.

Headshot for sure. Time to spin the NHL Wheel of Justice…what’s behind curtain #1 - two game suspension!

Brown has a hearing with the NHL this afternoon.

That happened right in front of me. It looked like he was going to elbow him in the face, but missed and got him with the upper arm. What blew my mind was there was no call at all on the play. The refs were weak last night, a lot of missed calls BOTH ways. What was great, is that going into the 3rd up 1-0, the Coyotes didn’t retaliate, they just used it as motivation to score four more goals.
I saw Brown at the Yardhouse after the game, I wanted to throw an elbow at him. Gigeure was really cool though.

Yeah, he’d definitely call Jovo a “real hockey player” for even attempting to skate it off. What a damn tool…
