Our Detroit media types don’t keep us posted on some of the possible injuries players may have… But TSN does…

Given the fact that not only is his wrist taped, but he also has flipped the internal backhand protection so that it covers his upper wrist. It’s really obvious—he got slashed and suffered a sprained wrist. It happens when guys hack and whack at your hands when you cover the puck. His glove hand’s still decent, so I don’t think it’s broken.
