Turris won the shootout for the Coyotes with this slightly unusual play. He bounced the puck off of his right skate blade, then fired the puck through the Islanders goaltender Nathan Lawson.
Scroll to the 2:40 mark to see the Turris goal.
update 11:59pm, Found a video of just the Turris shootout goal, watch it below…

Disrespectful son of a…
But seriously, this was…OK. If he had been going faster, then it would be something more to talk about. I feel I could pull off this move.

You definitely could. But not as fast, smooth, or with the same hard high wrister that follows. NHL guys don’t usually do a lot of things that we couldn’t pull off. They just do them much faster, cleaner and under much more pressure than we could.

Sort of the equivalent of just waving your stick over the puck before you shoot. He probably was scoring with that shot anyway.
I love when goalies make themselves look like bigger fools by what they do after the goal.

Kukla’s Korner is always a free service for readers, but it costs some money to maintain. If you’re ever in a position to donate a few dollars to help out, we’d be very appreciative.

From the tv camera angle, it doesn’t look like much. I can’t imagine what the goaltender was thinking though.
