HFO, yes, his contract would be pro-rated for the remaining regular season games, so it would bu much less than his annual salary.
Burke would want a roster player I am sure plus a pick for Kaberle.

Kypreos’ math is off. If you have zero choices and you double that - it’s still zero, right? Again, 2 x 0 + is still 0

OK, for my general education can someone smart with the number explain to me how this would work? I go over to CapGeek and see that Boston has $2,522,705 of cap room. Kaberle makes $4,250,000 this year and is an unrestricted free agent next year. How does that work? Will Boston only get hit with the rest of his salary for this year? Would they have to include someone in the trade to increase their cap room?
