CANTON, MA – Reebok announced that for the first time, Reebok’s Stanley Cup Championship locker room Tees worn by the 2009 Stanley Cup Champions immediately following their win on the ice will be made using eco-friendly, 100% organic cotton fabric.

The sweatshop issue is a good point.
It’s easy to make fun, but cotton is one of the most polluting crops to grow and dye. Organically grown cotton (yes, they did use “organic” completely incorrectly) is better for the environment, and not just a way to feel as though a person is being more environmentally virtuous than wearing a normal, run-of-the-mill tss shirt.
(Cotton actually is a good part of the reason why the Aral Sea is a wreck now. Water was diverted for irrigation of fields to grow cotton among other crops, and so many chemical pesticides and fertilizers were used that they have caused massive health problems in the people of the region - just abominably sad.)
