from the Chicago Tribune,
Bobby Hull created a roar from Blackhawks fans during his playing days, and he’s thrilled to put hard feelings behind and be part of a new roar building around the team.
“Thirty-five years away from there, and it’s just wonderful to be home again,” Hull said last week while wearing his familiar No. 9 Hawks sweater with the “A” on the chest as he took part in a Montreal ceremony honoring Hawks and Canadiens greats.

Kukla’s Korner is always a free service for readers, but it costs some money to maintain. If you’re ever in a position to donate a few dollars to help out, we’d be very appreciative.

Bobby Hull was the greatest left winger in NHL history. Period. I know Luc Robitaille scored more NHL goals and points than Hull, but he never had Hull’s charisma and talent and was never as great as Hull. If Hull hadn’t jumped to the WHA (and given the circumstances at the time I don’t blame him) I believe he’d still hold the records for most goals and points by an NHL left winger.
I met Hull back in 1995 at an Oldtimers game. He no longer played and was one of the “coaches”, but he spent most of his time in the foyer signing autographs for whoever wanted one, and there were lots of folks who did. A class act all the way.
