Welcome Dany, But You Need To Do Some Explaining

Each day, the group of Ottawa Senators taking part in the informal scrimmages at the Bell Sensplex grows by a player or two, as they straggle into town after a long summer vacation.

However, as each day passes and the official start of training camp approaches, the players also draw closer to a date with the elephant in the room: Dany Heatley.

Will he be traded by Sept. 12? Will he be compelled to return to the National Hockey League team? Until those questions are answered, the Senators are stuck in neutral.

The players say they would be willing to forgive Heatley—once he explains himself, of course—but a number of them said on Thursday they want more than just an explanation from him.
