TSN says the Sens/Habs game is the biggest match tonight.
I disagree, feeling the Canes/Caps game has more meaning in the playoff race.

I think both are equally important, but the fact that the Caps game has 2 teams that may or may not make the playoffs perhaps makes it more important right now…
I’ll be tuning into both, the old recall button is going to get a workout tonight… love it!

Caps/Canes cause OTT and MTL are going to make it, both in the top 5-6, and the Caps/Cane loser might not end up in the top 8.
Simple as that.

Dear Eastern Media,
There’s hockey west of Detroit, too.
Sincerely,
The Northwest Division

Good call, Doogie. I can’t say either game in the poll interests me at all, but hey, such are the breaks of being a western conference fan.

I’m with you, Doogie… I’ll be watching Western Conference games tonight.
I voted, but that doesn’t mean I think those are the top two choices—which, come to think of it, pretty much parallels every Presidential election.

really, who cares about two crappy teams in the southeast division, the turtlerace to the end. carolina still has a team? that’s interesting. does anyone there even know? as for washington, i’m happy to see them making a run. but, c’mon, montrĂ©al/ottawa is for the crown of a division that is not full of also rans, and one of those teams is in the running for first in the conference. get your head outta yr arses, lads!

After taking a closer look at the standings, I have to agree that the Carolina/Washington game is more important. If Washington wins in regulation, they’ll be tied with Carolina in points for the Southeast lead with one fewer win. If it breaks down that way (for either team) after 82 games, that would be a terrible way to miss the playoffs.
