For the last three years, I’ve lived in Prague during the offseason. I consider it to be the most beautiful city in the world, and hockey is the most popular sport here. The best part about having the summers off is that I can see my family and spend quality time with my wife, driving through Prague to enjoy the sights.
On a typical day during the offseason, I get up at 7:30 a.m. and eat some breakfast before I workout. This summer, I’ve been training with Martin Havlat of the Blackhawks and Roman Hamrlik of the Canadiens.
After lunch, I get in another workout that can include the bikes, or other sports like tennis, squash or soccer. I have dinner with my wife, and before I know it, the days are usually over.
