Even though the trade and UFA talk is low-keyed this time of year, the talk still exists.

Kukla’s Korner is always a free service for readers, but it costs some money to maintain. If you’re ever in a position to donate a few dollars to help out, we’d be very appreciative.

Interestingly, there’s been more frequency in the free agent rumours this year at this time than in the past, undoubtedly because of the salary cap. That’s causing many pundits to puzzle over which teams have the cap space to be busy in this summer’s UFA market, and speculation over which players could be re-signed or cut loose. Thankfully, that’s keeping me busier than usual at this time of year.
I was against the salary cap during the lockout but I have to admit that this has been a pleasant fringe benefit for someone like me who tracks player movement.
