I believe you’d be referring to Mark.
Posted by NHLJeff from Boston, MA on 01/06 at 06:45 PMThat’s the one.
Posted by Steve from New Jersey on 01/06 at 07:07 PMI remember this kiddo as a HS hockey star in Rochester, MN during the late 90’s. I did my residency at the Mayo Clinic, and his Dad was (still is, I believe) the chief of sports medicine/orthopedics there. Now he’s quite involved with the head injury committees at the NHL level.
There was a third brother, too, I think...can’t recall his name. I think they all played at Colorado College?
Posted by Jamie from Ohio on 01/06 at 08:59 PMI don’t know his name, but the 3rd brother plays in Europe somewhere. There is also a sister who is the captain of her college hockey team, one of the Boston teams, I believe. Apparently the dad was a football player, but they moved to MN and all 4 started playing hockey. Looks like it worked out pretty well! Colin had his first game against brother Mark and the Bruins, getting his first assist, and got his first goal the next game, also against Mark and the Bruins.
Posted by Mac on 01/07 at 11:18 AMThree Stuarts,
Colin, Mike, and Mark.
All three played for Colorado College and all are outstanding kids. My son had the good fortune of skating with Mark on several occasions and he always had time for the kids.
Mark plays for the Bruins currently.
Last year Mike was playing for the Peoria Riverman with Peter Sejna, also a CC player and Hobey Baker winner.
Their youngest sibling is Cristin and she is a defensemen and is currently playing at boston college where she is a senior and the captain of the team. Her brothers all say she might be the best hockey player of them all. Their whole entire family are the nicest people you would ever meet.

Whichever Stuart plays for Boston is his younger sibling.
