TSN reports Dennis Wideman from St. Louis to Boston for Brad Boyes.
added 4:34pm, from the St. Louis Blues,
St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the team has traded defenseman Dennis Wideman to the Boston Bruins in exchange for forward Brad Boyes.

Hmm. Odd. I would rank this among the biggest suprise deals of the day even though it’s not involving superstars (but the Ryan Smyth deal has to take the cake).

At the age of 23, the talented Boyes is now already with his 4th NHL organization. I wonder what gives?
