Will Records Be Broken

from the Globe and Mail,
It’s hard to find anyone who doesn’t appreciate the increased offence created in the revamped National Hockey League.
However, just like every other rash judgment about the new NHL, the sudden prognostications about a return to 80s-style record-book rewriting may be a tad premature. Shouldn’t we wait at least half a season before rendering a verdict on the realities of the game? (After all, it’s impossible to avoid the TV or talk-radio pundits who predict that the game will be called differently as the schedule progresses).
