via Sportsnet,
Sources tell Sportsnet that after working out with the Los Angeles Kings last week, Mitchell has apparently showcased his health to the San Jose Sharks and his club for the last four seasons, the Vancouver Canucks.
Mitchell is trying to make a comeback after suffering a season-ending concussion last January.
The workouts have reportedly gone well, and now the 33-year-old is expected to visit the Washington Capitals.
It is believed Mitchell will make up his mind on his future by the end of the week.

I don’t think so. I think Mitchell’s gonna get the $2.5-3 million he’s looking for. I hope he goes East as he’s a pain in the arse to play against.

He could sign a one-year deal to babysit Mike Green. Likely could end up with 40 points and a pretty good +/- because of the Caps’ offense. Could set himself up very nicely for a big payday next summer.

George, I agree with you in that I would like to see some of these free agent juggernauts end up in the eastern conference. I would like to, actually scratch that I would have loved to sign Willie. Evidently Holland thought our team needed offensive depth this year opposed to another defender like Mitchell.
I hope Mitchell, Kariya and Kovalchuk end up out east. The western conference is king. The west also has a few really teams that are just a few key additions away from real contenders. The kings, ducks, avalanche, st.louis and phoenix are solid teams that are close to making that extra leap.
Hey by the way George, Maze and BLUE all the way. Maybe well have some good Wolverine Hockey News to talk about this coming winter.
