from the Vernon Morning Star,
Supported by an awesome top-four defensive core and forwards who are committed to blocking shots and picking up their checks, Osgood noted one major difference from the ‘97 team he backstopped.
“They’re both great teams. Our team this year was just a tenacious team. We never really get rattled anymore. We played our game-plan and our style of play. This team could win games in different ways than other teams did. We could win in the trenches, 2-1 games, a tough, ugly game that we couldn’t before.
“That’s the difference. We were able to win the ugly games and the physical in-the-trenches games like maybe before we couldn’t. That’s why we won, we were capable of winning any way the other team wanted to play.”
