Wings Preparing For Datsyuk’s Absence

Despite all the assurances that Pavel Datsyuk’s foot is “day to day” and that they’ll just “go ahead and freeze it”, the Red Wings are getting ready in the event the Hart candidate sits out Game 3.
Valtteri Filppula is ready to take his spot on the line with Marian Hossa and Tomas Holmstrom.
“A lot of guys on this team have played with each other, so I don’t think it’s going to be that big of (an adjustment),’’ Filppula said. “Nobody’s a stranger.”
Babcock said rookie Ville Leino might make his playoff debut if Datsyuk can’t play.
