from The Good, The Bad And The Duthie,

So I move on to a blog that will only make Don Cherry shriek in horror and stick a pen in his eye.  (Best Coach’s Corner Everrrrrrr!)

The Red Wings are not only Detroit’s team, they are Team Earth.  Never has one hockey club had such a worldly roster:  Canadians, Americans, Swedes, Russians, more Swedes, Czechs, a Finn.  Sure, other teams have had more countries represented, but not in these numbers.  The Wings have a chance to become the first team with a 50-50 North American/European split to win the Cup.

“I don’t look at nationalities, I just look for good hockey players,” says Wings General Manager Ken Holland.
