Wisniewski Will Use The Self Defense Plea In Shanahan’s Court

from Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch,
Wisniewski, who declined to comment yesterday, has arguments in his favor and arguments working against him.
The Blue Jackets continue to stress — and they will make this point to Shanahan today — that Wisniewski was defending himself when he and Wild forward Cal Clutterbuck clashed just after the final horn.
The fracas started with less than a minute to go, when Clutterbuck took a run at Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin. The hit sparked the ire of Wisniewski, who approached Clutterbuck moments later but couldn’t provoke him into a fight.
When the final buzzer sounded, Clutterbuck circled around and skated in Wisniewski’s direction. When they met, Wisniewski blasted Clutterbuck with his elbow and shoulder, sending him to the ice.

Wisniewski’s reputation as a cheap shot artist will work against him, IMHO.
