This will be a small consolation to Green, who once again leads all NHL defensemen in points but couldn’t find a spot on Canada’s 2010 Olympic team.
Maybe because, I dunno, Canada wanted D-men who would actually play defense? Crazy!

Does the whole team get suspended if they don’t show up for appearances also?

who are the two best defensive forwards he’s talking about? is that just limited to forwards who dont score anymore? Maybe in yrs past i’d put Dats and Z on that list, but what have they done this year to warrant it?

imagine that, not a single Wing on either of their lists.
morons.
not that any player should automatically get on the Ass.Star team just because they’re a Wing…but to me Lidstrom is an automatic, and so is one or both of Datsyuk and Zetterberg. but hey, I guess the two best defensive forwards in the sport don’t deserve to be in that game since nobody plays defense anyway. hence why they both picked Mike Green.
